Step-by-Step Instructions

1 Upload PDF Files

You can add PDF files in two ways:

  • Click on the upload area to browse and select files from your computer
  • Drag and drop PDF files directly onto the upload area
Note: Only PDF files are supported. The tool will reject other file types.
2 Review & Reorder Files

Once files are uploaded, you'll see them listed in the order they will be merged:

  • Each file shows its name and size
  • Files are merged in the order they appear in the list
  • Use the arrow buttons (↑↓) next to each file to move it up or down
  • Click the × button to remove a file from the list
3 Use Sorting Controls (Optional)

For advanced reordering, use the sorting controls:

  • Move Up/Down: Adjust position of selected file
  • Sort A-Z: Alphabetically sort all files
  • Reverse Order: Flip the entire order of files
Tip: Click on a file to select it before using Move Up/Down buttons.
4 Merge PDFs

When you're satisfied with the file order:

  1. Click the "Merge PDF Files" button
  2. Wait for the merging process to complete (progress bar will show status)
  3. Once done, the merged PDF will automatically download to your computer
Important: Keep the browser tab open until the merge is complete and the file downloads.
5 Save Your Merged Document

After merging:

  • The merged file will be named "merged-document.pdf"
  • You can rename it after downloading
  • The original PDF files remain unchanged on your computer

Troubleshooting

Tool Doesn't Work

If the tool doesn't work, check:

  • You're using a modern browser (Chrome, Firefox, Edge, Safari)
  • JavaScript is enabled in your browser
  • You have a stable internet connection (needed to load PDF library)

Large Files Take Time

Merging very large PDF files (100+ pages) may take several seconds. Be patient and don't close the browser tab during the process.

File Size Limit

Since processing happens in your browser, extremely large files may cause performance issues. For best results, merge PDFs under 100MB each.
